Kevin Hart‘s star is getting bigger. The comedian’s next reported role is a remake of the 1974 movie, Uptown Saturday Night, which starred Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier as two friends who visit a high-class but very illegal club and as you can probably guess, trouble ensues.

The modern take on the film is reportedly being written by Blackish‘s Kenya Barris and produced by Will Smith‘s Overbrook Entertainment.

According to Variety, Will and Denzel Washington were poised to reprise the iconic roles, but scheduling conflicts made it hard to do so. There’s no word as of yet on who will be Hart’s co-star, but we love’d to see Jamie Foxx, Aldis Hodge or Anthony Mackie in the role.
