Say what now?

Alecia Johnson is being accused of running a prostitution ring for would-be hopefuls of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on the campus of Fort Valley State University.

Johnson, a member of the first black Greek letter organization for collegiate women, and the former graduate advisor for the school’s Alpha Beta chapter is at the center of the rumors, in which her attorney says is “not a pimp”. She is also the Executive Assitant to the President, but has since resigned.

Just last month the chapter welcomed 21 young women into the sisterhood, but soon after the Washington Post reports, Rolling Out magazine got wind of “allegations that recent members of the sorority were involved in a sex ring to pay for pledging the organization. Citing unnamed sources, the magazine alleged that customers included local businessmen and politicians.”

No charges have been filed as the investigation is still underway, but either way, this is a stain that will be hard to wipe off for University and the global organization.

TELL US: Shocked or unfortunately not surprised at the rumored behavior?
