R&B superstar Trey Songz was arrested Monday morning at 6:30 a.m. on a domestic violence charge that stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on Feb. 18 during a party in Los Angeles.
Since then, the supposed victim, Andrea Buera, held a press conference with her attorney Lisa Bloom (the daughter of famed attorney Gloria Allred. Bloom also represented Kevin Hart‘s accuser last year), depicting various bruises she says were at the hand of the singer.
Buera has already obtained a restraining order based on the alleged assault. The 33-year-old singer spoke out this morning on Twitter, denying the charge, stating, he was “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
The Virginia native’s bail was set at $50,000 and he was released a little after 8am.
