Regina King and Robin Roberts new television series has added Tisha Campbell-Martin and Amirah Vann (Underground, How To Get Away With Murder) to its cast.

The untitled ABC drama reportedly follows the “lives of five African-American sisters, all officers in the NYPD, as they face the challenges of their high-risk jobs while juggling the responsibilities of marriage, motherhood and family.”

Campbell-Martin, who is petitioning for spousal support in her divorce from Duane Martin, is set to play “Sgt. Anise Kendrick-Morrison, a witty, tough and outspoken patrol officer with a sharp sense of humor. She is immensely proud of her family, especially her four sisters in the NYPD. The first to join the force, she proudly patrols her own childhood neighborhood in Queens.”

Variety reports Vann will star as “Ella, who patrols her childhood neighborhood in Queens. The character is described as a stand-up cop who goes out of her way to prove that police officers can still be good guys who treat people fairly.”

There’s no word on who will be cast in the three remaining roles, but with King and Roberts behind the project, we can’t hardly wait to watch five African-American women dominate a weekly series.
