Taye Diggs is no longer into white women, and apparently black women are to blame.

“I don’t know if I can mess with a white girl now,” the actor said in an interview on Van Lathan’s Red Pill Podcast, where Diggs spoke about the backlash he’s received from black women, for choosing to be with white women in the past.

“I feel like I’ve had to deal with that [the backlash] for so long, it has changed what I think I like, or what I’m attracted to.”

Really Taye? Blaming Black women?

When asked if he had resentment towards black women, the The Best Man actor said, “Yeah deep down inside,” then compared his relationship with black women to “a family member you love deeply, but you still gotta deal with the bull.”

*Rolls eyes.*

Taye Diggs then blamed yet another black woman for his dating issues: his mother.

“When I was 13, I was reading a magazine and there was a picture of a black woman and I said, ‘Oh, she’s pretty, I want to marry her.’ And my mom said, ‘Oh honey, you’re going to marry a white woman.’ It hurt my feelings but she was right.” Diggs said.

Diggs was previously married to actress Idina Menzel, until their split in 2013. Diggs openly discussed the flack he received for his interracial marriage and his children’s book about his bi-racial son

Taye isn’t the only whose mother influenced his choices in women. Matthew Knowles recently opened up in an interview saying, “When I was growing up, my mother used to say, ‘Don’t ever bring no nappy-head black girl to my house,’” Knowles said. “…I used to date mainly white women or very high-complexion black women that looked white… I had been conditioned from childhood.”

Taye is now dating actress Amanza Smith Brown, who is biracial.
