Can you believe School Daze turns 30 this year? As a 30-something graduate of an HBCU (hey #GramFam) and a member of a black Greek letter organization (pinkes up sorors!), this iconic Spike Lee joint was the blueprint to what would be my collegiate experience, as I’m sure it was for others.

The 60-year-old filmmaker took to social media to announce a special screening of the movie in honor of its debut in 1988. Watch below.

He also encouraged fans of the film to represent their organizations and HBCUs at the screening.

First Black Panther‘s release and now this? February 2018 is turning into the blackest Black History Month ever.
