Actor Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking actor best known for his Oscar-nominated role in The Green Mile, has died Monday at the age of 54 reports NewsOne.com.

While a cause of death has yet to be released, Duncan was recently admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack in July. According to the Los Angeles Times, his fiance, the Utltimate Merger reality-TV star Omarosa Manigault, released a statement saying Duncan never recovered from his earlier hospitalization.

While Mile was his most iconic role, Duncan expanded into comedy with Martin Lawrence’s Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins as well as science fiction with roles in The Green Lantern and Armageddon.
