Ever heard of De-Von-Tre? And no, it’s not Jodeci’s long, lost cousin. Chance The Rapper, Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd joined forces on SNL last Saturday to beg Barack Obama to come back and be our president again.
The result? Everything you could ever hope and wish for in a 90s R&B video.

Are those suits custom made? Please tell me those suits were custom made. Or maybe K&G had a clearance sale? The wide leg pants with the pleats. God has graciously delivered us from the Steve Harvey suit and we never want to look back.
Why did we tolerate all this conversation on a song? And more importantly, why does the big, thick guy always have to tell us how we did him wrong and why we need to do better? Token Big Guys matter too, don’t make them always do the dirty work.
And lastly, why is it always raining in these videos? We’re black. We don’t even like the rain. Yet, you would have us believe the WHOLE entire group is outside, in their finest of polyester blends, dripping Black Magic oil sheen with no wave cap? I think not!
Honestly, we’ve never heard truer words spoken about a world without our President Barack Obama.
