If you’ve forgotten, in 2013 Colin Kaepernick was one of the best football players in the world. A fact that was over shadowed by his heroic protest against police violence and the murdering of unarmed black boys.
Regardless of his talent, ever since Colin made his stand by taking a knee he has yet to be hired by another NFL team. It is because of his tremendous sacrifice and commitment to social justice that GQ has given him this prestigious distinction.
Watch the video from his trip to Harlem below.
As a part of the honor, this December Collin will grace the 2017 cover of GQ’s Men of the Year issue of the magazine. And the images GQ uses to tell the story are incredible! Read the full article and check out his shoot here.
In the feature Colin said that the reason he chose to be a part of this project was to “reclaim the narrative of his protest.”
We are here so for it! Thank you Colin!
