Two men were fatally shot after an altercation on the campus of Grambling State University early Wednesday morning.

The victims have been identified as Earl Andrews, a senior at GSU and the other was Monquiarius Caldwell. Both were 23 and from Farmerville, Louisiana. Reports say that the incident started in a dorm room and spilled over into the courtyard, where the victims bodies were later found.

KSLA’s News 12 was on Grambling’s campus this morning, covering the horrific event.

Grambling’s annual Homecoming festivities started Sunday and will continue into the weekend. The University’s President Rick Gallot released a statement encouraging students to “look out for one another” and assuring all that this was an “isolated incident”.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of both young men.
