If you aren’t already familiar with Lupita Nyong’o
you must live under a rock…do yourself a favor ASAP.
The Oscar winning actress (who we’re convinced is made from the finest of Godiva chocolates) is already in the works to make us proud in the upcoming Black Panther film,—and as of most recently, could potentially make history as the first Black Charlie’s Angel on the big screen.
According to reports, Nyong’o and Kristen Stewart (Twilight) are in conversation to star in Sony’s Charlie’s Angels reboot, with Elizabeth Banks selected to direct. As of now, the film is slated for release in June 2019.
The Charlie’s Angels television show became iconic with famous faces like Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith in the late 70s, while the movie was a big hit in 2000 starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
If Nyong’o makes space in her busy schedule (she will also be in the new Star Wars film slated for December) this could be monumental for all the women of color who kick butt in everyday life. Of course, the internet has already put in their request for an all-Black trio. Could you imagine?
We couldn’t be any more here for this.
