In news that came out of nowhere, Tamar Braxton announced to her 2.7 million followers on Instagram that after the release of her new album Blue Bird of Happiness, she’d be retiring from music.

While we’re not sure what triggered this sudden change of heart, here are three moves we want to see the 40-year-old make now that she’ll have a little more free time.

Let’s be real. When it was first announced that Tamar would join the iconic dance competition in 2015, we weren’t sure what to think. But she and Val Chmerkovskiy proved the naysayers wrong and dominated week after week, until a medical emergency caused Braxton to exit the show early.

Tamar revealed earlier this year that she suffered a miscarriage, but we’re hoping she and husband Vince will try again. Can you imagine a baby girl in the mix? Epic.

Write A Book

Despite how you may feel about her larger than life personality, the youngest Braxton has undoubtedly overcome adversity. She went from being dropped from three record labels to scoring number one hits and snagging a few Grammy nominations along the way. And her personal life has been anything but perfect. We’d love to see her story in book form.

While music may be on the back burner for now, don’t expect for Tamar to go away quietly. A new season of Braxton Family Values and Tamar and Vince are reportedly on the way and don’t forget about that talk show she signed on to do, spearheaded by Steve Harvey‘s production company.

A hustler indeed.
