Hurricane Harvey decimated the Houston area, leaving so many of its resident stranded and without help. Houston is in need and Kevin Hart stepped up.

Kevin Hart will donate $25,000 to the American Red Cross and he’s challenging his celeb friends to do the same. In true social media fashion, the actor and comedian wants to launch the #HurricaneHarveyReliefChallenge and he’s called out The Rock, Chris Rock, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Harvey and Justin Timberlake to put their coin down and save lives.

So far, no responses from his immediate list. But, Ellen and the Ellen Show have stepped up to donate $50,000 to the American Red Cross. She will also donate an additional $25,000 to the SPCA of Texas (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas).

Texas, I love you. #HoustonStrong

If you haven’t caught the latest Harvey updates, flooding continues throughout the Houston and southeastern Texas. More than 2,000 people in the Houston area had to be rescued by boat. More than 30,000 people will now call temporary shelters home. And, first responders continue to search for survivors among flooded homes and rubble.

Texas truly needs our help!
