Rumors of a Shaft sequel have been rumbling around Hollywood for quite some time, but the project looks to be underway with the announcement of Jessie T. Usher as the face of the action flick.
Usher is best known for his role on HBO’s Survivor Remorse, starring in the 2016 comedy Almost Christmas and as Will Smith’s character’s son in the Independence Day reboot, Independence Day: Resurgence.
