This story warms our whole hearts! Can you imagine showing up to your first day of school to be greeted by your very own cheering section? These young men can. The 100 Black Men of Atlanta showed up to shower praises on the young men of the Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology (B.E.S.T.) Academy.

Have a great year! @100bmofatl @emerging100atl #bestacademy #firstdayofschool

Every year, the 100 Black Men of Atlanta get together to cheer on and support these young men in all their scholastic achievement. The B.E.S.T. Academy, an all boys school that opened in 2007, exists to give our young boys a college prep curriculum while developing them into the future leaders of our community. And we can’t think of a better example than the 100 Black Men of Atlanta showing up in full suits to clap, cheer and offer words of encouragement. Perfect examples of who they should aspire to be and how they should give back once they made it.

According to 100 Black Men of Atlanta member J. Carter, this chapter has been doing this for 10 years. They have an ongoing partnership with the school to offer mentorship and guidance throughout the year, so these B.E.S.T. students see them from day one to day end.

Thank you 100 Black Men of Atlanta for being the role models our young men need!
