The movie poster and trailer for Taraji P. Henson‘s thriller, Proud Mary, was released and we are ready to see Cookie Lyon as a gun slinging hit-woman.
The Emmy-nominated actress looks like she didn’t take any days off in the gym while showing off her sexy silhouette in this picture.
Henson is “Mary”, a hit-woman working for an organized crime family in Boston. When a professional hit goes wrong, she crosses paths with a young boy and her life completely turns around.
The poster may give off 1970s Blaxploitation film vibes, but the trailer shows “Mary” is a modern-day shero. Check them both out below.
With an ensemble cast including Billy Brown (How to Get Away with Murder), Jahi Di’Allo Winston (The New Edition Story), and Danny Glover, you wouldn’t want to miss this thriller when it comes out in January.
Taraji is also doing her own stunts in the action-packed film and she seems excited for the movie to finally premiere. Is that an Oscar nomination we see in her future?
