Sometimes, silence is best.

Comedian and radio/television personality, Steve Harvey, recently made questionable comments to a caller on his nationally syndicated radio show, The Steve Harvey Morning Show, when the two got into a disagreement regarding the Golden State Warrior’s NBA championship win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The caller was a man from Flint, Michigan. The community of Flint, Michigan has been dealing with lead contamination in their water since 2014 when Governor Rick Snyder switched the city’s water supply from the Detroit water system to the Flint River without properly treating the water to prevent the corrosion of pipes.

Last week, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette’s office charged government officials with involuntary manslaughter due to an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease which killed 12 people and is believed to be linked to the tainted water.

Clearly, Flint’s water crisis is no laughing matter.

Listen to the funny man’s not-so funny comments below.

The Family Feud host defended his jokes claiming that he was simply trash talking about sports.

The caller, who is named Dee Smith, stated, “He started saying: ‘Where you from? Flint?'” Smith continues, “He said, ‘Enjoy your brown cup of water,’ and then cut me off”.

Smith did not recognize Harvey’s comments as simple jokes commenting, “Everybody has issues with the water … relatives, family friends, people dear to me”.

The mayor of Flint, Karen Weaver, wrote an open letter to Harvey demanding an apology and Little Miss Flint, Mari Copeny, posted a video on Twitter directed towards Harvey, demanding an apology as well.

Steve Harvey has yet to respond with an apology and actor Christian Keyes is losing his patience.

Keyes posted an Instagram video in which he encouraged Harvey to “lift up that heavy a** mustache of [his] and apologize to the city of Flint”.

TELL US: Does Steve Harvey need to apologize to the city of Flint or are his comments simply jokes?
