We already know this movie is fire! According to Deadline, the Fruitvale Station, Creed and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler reunites with Michael B Jordan on the new film Wrong Answer. Then, they get our generation’s James Baldwin, Ta-Nehisi Coates, to write the screenplay.
Oh, it gets better. Wrong Answer is based on the true story of how Atlanta school teachers participated in a district-wide standardized-test cheating scandal back in 2013. It rocked Atlanta and landed teachers in jail and school administrators packing their bags and hiring lawyers. It was the biggest cheating scandal in US history.

The film will focus on Damany Lewis, played by Michael B. Jordan, who was a math teacher at Parks Middle School in Atlanta. Lewis, a football, soccer and softball coach, was a true student advocate. Unfortunately, he got caught up in the No Child Left Behind rat race that demanded unachievable test scores from poor and struggling kids. The consequences for not meeting those demands, schools were punished and sometimes closed.
We’re excited someone is finally telling this story and even more excited that Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan and Ta-Nehisi Coates will bring this story alive.
