Sources are saying that Cleveland Police Department finally fired Officer Timothy Loehmann, who was responsible for shooting 12-year old Tamir Rice in 2014.

This would come as good news, however, the officer was not found guilty of murder or terminated for killing an innocent child. He was fired for lying on his JOB application!

Two years have passed since Tamir Rice was fatally shot by Officer Loehmann after  playing with a toy pellet gun in a park. In 2015, a Cleveland grand jury declined to bring charges against the officers involved in the shooting.

In January, it was announced that the two officers involved in the shooting, along with a third officer would face administrative charges from the police department. Those charges were brought after a special committee was created by the department to investigate Tamir’s shooting.

Did the Cleveland PD try to balance out the scales of injustice for the Rice family by finding a reason to remove Loehmann from their police force? Will justice for Tamir ever be found?
