My heartbreaks for Ebonie Archie, the mother of the 6-year-old found dead from a gunshot wound on Thursday. Authorities discovered Kingston Frazier in the back of the car, that been stolen from his mother, earlier that day in Jackson, Miss.

According to Madison Country Sheriff spokesperson Randy Tucker, his mother ran into Kroger around 1:15 a.m. and left the car running. Within 15 minutes, her Toyota Camry was gone along with her son who she left waiting in the car. Around 9:30 a.m., authorities found the car abandoned on a dirt road not too far from the Kroger. They shot this young boy, Kingston Frazier, and left him for dead on the back seat of the car. This painful story gets worse, as the family was mistakenly told the boy was safe, only to learn his tragic end.

Suspects Apprehended

Thankfully, the authorities arrested three suspects, Dwan Wakefield, D’Allen Washington, and Byron McBride. These young men, also children, only 17 years old. All three will be charged with capital murder, a crime punishable by death.

The Family Reacts

The entire family spoke our against the perpetrators – surprised, hurt and confused how this could happen to an innocent boy who, had he lived, would’ve been graduating kindergarten on Thursday.

The boy’s great aunt, Velma Eddington, told the Clarion-Ledger:

“That baby hadn’t done anything to him. That baby hadn’t done nothing. They could have left that child on that back seat, asleep. They didn’t have to kill him. Those people are evil. Evil.”

Instead of balloons and snapping graduation photos, they’ll be planning a funeral and celebrating the short life of this sweet young boy.
