Established in 1854, Lincoln University was the first historically black college to offer African-American men higher education in arts and sciences. Now Lincoln is a public, coeducational institution offering degrees in several fields of study. Majors include Music, Philosophy and Religion, Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mass Communications, Physics and more. At Lincoln, a student’s collegiate experience goes beyond the classroom. The Department of student life provides Lincoln students with a host of activities to promote social, cultural and intellectual development. Activities include, step shows by all nine historically black fraternities and sororities, Homecoming, Spring Fling, Unity Week and much more.
