Yes, we heard the unfortunate news about Aretha Franklin cutting back on touring, but that won’t happen until after she releases a new album this fall, according to RollingStone.com. The new untitled album will feature all original songs — some produced by Stevie Wonder.

We’re excited about her new project, but we still can’t get the classics out of our head.

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with the Queen of Soul propping her feet up for some well-deserved rest and relaxation after 56 years as a legendary singer and songwriter. Do you, Ree-Ree! She also wants to spend more time with her grandchildren.

On the heels of her announcement to “retire”, fans took to social media to show their love for the Queen.

Franklin told a Detroit TV station that she’s still planning to do “one or two concerts in every month or so,” and that she’s “not going to sit down and do nothing.” An that’s good news for her fans!
