Update: Tupac has officially been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Tupac Shakur has topped many “best of” lists for many years now but there is one place that all fans agree he SHOULD be admitted to and next year he just might get his chance.
In 2017, Tupac tops the list of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If he gets in, he’ll be just the sixth hip-hop act to do so — and not without controversy. Last year, N.W.A.’s induction turned into a fight between Ice Cube and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons. And while we are in FULL support of Tupac getting in, we do have a bone to pick — namely, why is he the ONLY rapper on the list?
So Hall of Fame, if you’re listening here’s our list of seven other hip-hop acts that we think deserve induction. We could add more but we had to start somewhere.
