You can’t turn the channel without seeing Black folks represented all across the dial. Whether its networks trying to get Black viewers (VH1, Bravo) or networks BORN to be Black (cough — TV One — cough), Black content is everywhere. Power, Empire, Atlanta, Black-ish, Queen Sugar, Housewives of Where Ever — the options seem to be endless. And so does the progress.
Roland Martin talked with TV critic Eric Deggans who referenced some research that says it’s not Black folks who are underrepresented on TV — it’s Latinos and Asians. Watch the clip and scroll down for more.
