For those who have somehow forgotten, Rachel Dolezal is a Howard University graduate, former NAACP president, and Africana Studies professor who was exposed for being Caucasian by her own parents after identifying as African-American for many years.

Dolezal was recently tapped by celebrity stylist and natural hair activist, Isis Brantley, to headline the Naturally Isis Braid-On, Economic Liberty March and Rally in Dallas, Texas, which is happening this Labor Day weekend.
According to The Daily Beast, Dolezal mentioned: “I’m not coming as a curiosity or for any controversy. My intention is to support Isis and the braid freedom movement in whatever way it will be most helpful. I don’t want to be a liability for anyone. It’s a justice issue and I’ve been a social justice activist for years. It’s really that simple.”
