O.J., R.Kelly, Clarence Thomas — three cases of prominent Black men on trial. Three cases where Black women had to ask what may be the hardest question ever.
As Kerry Washington puts it, when talking about the Thomas trial, “sometimes I will feel a certain way as a woman . . . sometimes I will feel a certain way as a person of color and there may be times where those are at odds with each other.”
