Omari Hardwick will join Halle Berry in Netflix’s science fiction adventure film, The Mothership.

Written and directed by Oscar-nominee Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies), marking his feature debut, the film follows Sara Morse (Berry) one year after her husband mysteriously vanishes from their rural farm. After discovering a strange, extraterrestrial object beneath their home, Sara and her kids must embark on a race to find the truth behind her husband’s disappearance.

Joining the Power actor are John Ortiz and Molly Parker. The film will be produced by Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik and executive produced by Danny Stillman and the Oscar-winning actress.

Hardwick and Berry are no strangers to Netflix. The 47-year-old NAACP Image award winner stars in the recently released zombie thriller, Army of the Dead, and the 54-year-old is making her directorial debut this year with Bruised.
