Kevin Hart is no stranger to the big screen but he’s showing off a different side in his latest project. Alongside the 41-year-old, Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Anthony Carrigan, and Paul Reiser star in the new Netflix dramedy, Fatherhood.

Adapted by Matthew Logelin’s true-life memoir, Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss & Love, the movie follows Matthew, a single father (Hart) who raises his daughter (Melody Hurd) after his wife unexpectedly dies a day after giving birth.

The film is presented by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and produced by the Philadelphia native, Marty Bowen (The Hate U Give), David Beaubaire (Men in Black: International) and Peter Kiernan.
