She’s related to the great jazz musician Eubie Blake and Emmy-nominated actress Penny Jerald. She has since appeared in several television productions, including Necessary Roughness, Army Wives and The Game.

Brown plays Maurice, the general manager at the radio station where Rickey Smiley works. Brown has been a staple on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show for over nine years, where his comedic antics and voice are heard by radio listeners in nearly 200 markets.

Ray J plays Kenny, the show’s producer and Rickey Smiley’s protégé. It’s been an 18-year rise to the top for this singer, actor, TV presenter, entrepreneur, reality TV star and now author.
