Here’s another win for the Haitian community!

The Disney Channel is taking cultural appreciation and exploration to the next level with the release of 12 short films which will be featured on their website and YouTube.

One of the 12 films, called Exchange, features a teenage Haitian-American girl, Brigitte (played by Carla Jeffrey), and her family. After her study abroad program is cancelled, Brigitte suggests to diverse classmates that they should visit each other’s families instead.

The short film was directed and written by Jamaican-Haitian comedian and actress, Dahéli Hall. Check out the short film below:

Kudos to the Disney Channel! There are so many different Black experiences and it is always refreshing to be exposed to and learn about other cultures.
