Director, Marketing & Partnership (Silver Spring, MD)


  • Create and manage campaigns, promotion and tools for distribution partners
  • Foster and cultivate key partner relationships to ensure strategic engagement and strong relationship management and create new opportunities to add network value.
  • Work closely with the VP of Content Distribution & Marketing – Marketing & Partnerships to shape and execute a strong strategy to drive value, deliver informed partnership opportunities, and build a metrics-based value proposition.
  • Be familiar with contractual terms and marketing deliverables to ensure compliance.
  • Understand the key business drivers and objectives for our partners, and develop partnership solutions leveraging our expertise and content.
  • Continually seek to deepen integrations, and identify additional areas of collaboration.
  • Continuously identify and evaluate key digital marketplace TVE trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Lead regular communication and activities with clients.  Establish regular cadence of emails, calls, and in-person meetings to build strong and productive relationships.
  • Monitor partnership activations to ensure they happen in a timely manner; continually encourage deeper integrations by offering up ideas and proposals.
  • Thorough understanding of the competitive marketplace and up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and other critical business issues.
  • Manage all key relationships with selected vendors and/or agencies
  • Coordinate flawlessly across all key internal departments
  • Collaborate with colleagues in content, creative, and demand generation (affiliate, email, social media) to develop annual partnership marketing plan
  • Work closely with CDM Sales team on to develop strategies and tool which drive and/or maintain subscriber goals, as needed
  • Engage internal stakeholders to meet partner needs, including developing best practices partnerships and campaigns and identifying meaningful new use cases for network content.
  • Ability to manipulate and pull data from 3rd party analytics tools/dashboards (e.g., comScore, SNL Kagan, Nielsen, Medea etc.) to provide performance reports on weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis


  • 7+ years relevant experience, including marketing, business development, channel marketing, and/or project management. Quick study.
  • Knowledge and passion regarding media landscape, including distribution and business models
  • Ability to project manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organization skills, and follow through
  • A strong track record of strategic relationship and project management
  • Strategic and creative thinker with strong analytical skills. Proven track record of identifying opportunities to advance/transform the business
  • Has demonstrated collaborative thinking and creative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Solid PowerPoint and Excel skill
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience
  • MBA/MA is a plus
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
