The Grammy-Award winning artist made the announcement to Instagram live beside her husband of five years, Kendall Taylor. After referencing the story of Hannah from the holy scripture, she revealed that she took a page from her story and turned to the power of prayer.

The American Idol alum spoke on the fertility issues she had while trying to conceive stating that “it was really starting to depress me and him — it was like my tube was closed.”

Taylor added that “[The doctors] kept talking about invitro. They were going to do artificial insemination. I remember sitting in that doctor’s office and I was like, ‘I hear what y’all saying’, I said, ‘but I know what God showed me.'”

The happy couple shared the news with the help of a Dior diaper bag after the 36-year-old singer said “Me and Ken are about to take a trip.” Taylor kissed her belly and gleefully said, “Listen to me, a little Taylor baby on the way in these streets.”

While the child is the first for the couple, Barrino has two children from her past relationships — Dallas Xavier, 8, and Zion Quari, 19 — and Taylor has a  son named Treyshaun.

Congratulations to Fantasia and Kendall!
