“old-ish” will be the third “black-ish” spinoff. The first was “grown-ish,” which follows the college life of Zoey played by Yara Shahidi, who is the oldest child of Andre ‘Dre’ and Rainbow Johnson (Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross). The other Johnson kids are Andre Jr. (Marcus Scribner), Jack (Miles Brown), and Diane (Marsai Martin). “mixed-ish” is primarily set in the 70s and highlights the life of Ross’ character, who is multiracial.

“old-ish” will focus on Lewis and Fishburne’s characters, Ruby and Earl, who are Dre’s live-in-parents. Reportedly, the retirees are giving love a second chance and have moved off to live together.
