The Kings are reuniting? According to Cedric The Entertainer, the idea of reuniting the famous, now threesome, onstage again is “likely”. In an interview with The Big Ticket in March, the 55-year-old (who also confirmed his role in the sequel to Johnson Family Vacation) said, “It seems like it may be actually getting a little closer. There’s some talks of possibly doing a very limited run for the fun of it, doing like a 12-city run.”

The Original Kings of Comedy debuted in 2000 and saw Cedric, Steve Harvey, DL Hughley and the late Bernie Mac tackle topics of race, culture, sex and more like only they could. Remember this hilarious clip of Bernie breaking down the word motherf**ker?

What a gem. And while there’s been no word on when the tour would likely start, here’s to hoping it serves as a hopeful reminder that better days are ahead. In the meantime, take a trip back down memory lane as DL Hughley remembers the life and legacy of his dear friend on the anniversary of his death.
