Tiffany Boone is speaking out for the first time since leaving The Chi after alleging misconduct against former co-star Jason Mitchell.

Over the last year, the Lena Waithe-produced series has been in the headlines since news of Mitchell’s firing was released. Since then the series’ former showrunner Ayanna also left, citing the same accusations even claiming Waithe new about the supposed misconduct on set but did little to nothing to correct it.

Waithe, who announced her divorce last month, admitted she didn’t handle the situation “the best way”. With the departure of both Boone and Mitchell, fans were left wondering just how the show would continue. Reports of Kandi Burruss, Lil Rel Howery, Luke James, La La Anthony and more joined the cast and as we saw in the trailer for the new season, Mitchell’s departure would absolutely be addressed. Watch.

So what’s next for Boone? The Baltimore native stars alongside Kerry Washington in Hulu’s upcoming new series Little Fires Everywhere and in Amazon Prime Video’s Hunters, next month.
