A few weeks ago rumors of a friendly, but very heated exchange between Mo’Nique and Steve Harvey got out. Apparently, Mo was a guest on the comedian’s talk show and of course, the topic turned to that infamous call for a Netflix boycott and her onstage remarks about Oprah, Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels. The highly anticipated interview aired and it was every bit of tense like we expected.

The two spoke about the difficult label placed on the 51-year-old after she refused to travel at her own expense to promote Precious internationally. While she would go on to take home an Oscar for her role, she was seemingly blackballed from the industry. Watch.

In part two of the conversation, Steve goes on to admit that he should’ve reached out to her personally when he saw things going haywire, even apologizing for it. He also revealed he wanted to orchestrate a sit-down with Oprah, Daniels and Perry so that the two sides can both apologize publicly.

But the interview wasn’t all Netflix and blackballing. The two reflected on two decades of being in the comedy game, Queens of Comedy and her history-making Las Vegas residency.

Call her what you want and say what you will about her delivery. But well-behaved women seldom make history.
