Michelle Williams said she’s not dimming her light for anyone, anymore! The singer took to Twitter to let us know she’s worked too hard to let anyone take her accomplishments away from her and some think her words are directed toward her ex-fiancé, Pastor Chad Johnson.

“Sometimes you have to look in the mirror and say ‘girl do you know who you are?’ You’ve made people too comfortable, you’ve dimmed your light.”

News of the couple’s breakup, after an eight-month-long relationship, surfaced earlier this month when Michelle took to Instagram Stories in a now-deleted post. The singer revealed: “I still remain fearless. I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS”

During their engagement, the former pair starred in their own reality TV show on OWN, Chad Loves Michelle, which just wrapped. Johnson said the show has “given us the opportunity to learn one another. The show has held us accountable on another level.”

And that accountability might be why Michelle has been so open about the ups and downs of their relationship, especially on social media. Until this most recent post, neither Chad nor Michelle have directly commented on what caused the split. But, as of December 24, they no longer follow each other on social media.

After the breakup, the “Say Yes” singer took a leave of absence from her starring role in the Broadway musical, “Once On This Island”. She also reportedly opted out of re-shoots of Chad Loves Michelle, but Johnson did not.

In a FaceTime call during the finale, the pastor got real about the breakup: “It’s been really hard. I’m definitely broken up over it. Sometimes love, although it’s real, it’s not enough. You have to be able to walk together and communicate. Michelle, she’s a beautiful soul, bro. We had some amazing moments together. But we have to move forward.”

And hopefully, they both can find the love they’re looking for.
