Songwriter and producer Dallas Austin spoke out about his relationship with Kim Porter, in the wake of her untimely death last week, revealing the two had what seemed to be budding romance growing up. He shocked fans, even more, sharing Zoe Saldana‘s role in Drumline was inspired by Kim.
Porter, famously known for sharing three kids with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and one with singer Al B. Sure! was found dead in her Los Angeles home. She was 47. “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time,” read a statement from Porter’s rep. Diddy paid homage to his friend over the weekend in a series of posts.

TMZ reported, “A source connected to Kim tells us she’d been suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks, but it’s still unclear what exactly caused her death. Another source says Kim had contacted her doctor just yesterday complaining she wasn’t feeling any better.”
Al B. Sure! and Diddy’s second oldest son, Justin Combs also paid tribute to Kim, calling her his “second mom”.
