Je’Caryous Johnson‘s stage play Redemption of a Dogg just added a little more star power to its already incredible cast. Eric Benet, Demetria McKinney and Omar Gooding have joined the cast alongside Snoop Dogg and Tamar Braxton. According to reports“The play, set to the soundtrack over 25 years of Snoop’s musical career, follows the journey of one man trying to preserve his lifelong legacy by choosing fame and fortune over faith and family. When he is forced to face the true consequences of gaining the world, he fights to redeem himself before his love, his family and ultimately his soul.”

McKinney, famously known for her role as Whitney Houston in the TV One original movie Bobbi Kristina, will play Snoop’s wife Shani while Benet has been cast as the rapper’s manager who eventually starts managing Shani. Gooding has been cast as Snoop’s longtime friend and DJ.

And it doesn’t end there. James ‘Lil JJ’ Lewis, Michael Strong (Vivica’s Black Magic), Vincent Ward (The Walking Dead), comedian Billy Sorrells, Skye Griffin and LaToya London round out the cast.
