MOBO Awards – Awards Room

Perhaps inspired by the reunions of SWV, Kut Klose, and En Vogue (well, before they declared Diva Wars on each other) TLC has announced plans for their first album in a decade.

The surviving members of TLC, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins announced the news at the Mobo Awards in Liverpool. T-Boz said, "We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time.”

When asked how the group might into the current world of pop music, T-Boz noted:

"We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel," she added. "You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it."

The duo added that they’re also planning a tour which may or may not include a hologram of their deceased third member, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. I’m not as hologram crazed as the rest of y’all, but if it works for fans, cute.

They’ll also be filming a VH1 biopic of their lives.
