Could it be? Could Toni, Lynn, Mya and Joan really be making their way back to us? According to Jill Marie Jones, yes. The 43-year-old actress teased the idea of a Girlfriends movie during an interview on The Breakfast Club this week while promoting her new series, Monogamy.

“We all want to do it. I think it’s a timing thing and also the legal stuff. When you sell a script you don’t actually own it anymore so whatever CBS and Paramount want to do.”

We haven’t seen the Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Jones, or Persia White altogether since they took the stage at Black Girls Rock in 2013, so a possible reunion in the form of a movie is enough to get us all the way in our feelings.

The iconic series created by Mara Brock Akil ended abruptly in 2008 after seven seasons on UPN. Watch a clip from one of our favorite episodes below.

Since then Ross has gone on to win a Golden Globe for her role on Blackish, both Persia and Golden have starred in TV One original series, Hollywood Divas and You Can’t Fight Christmas and Jill starred in Ash vs Evil Dead for several seasons.
