An hour ago Netflix confirmed rumors of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obamas involvement in the streaming platform. Earlier this year reports surfaced the pair were in talks to produce a handful of series/programs aimed at uplifting Americans. Netflix took to social media to officially announce the partnership between the two.

Our forever President said in a statement“One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience. That’s why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix – we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

There’s no word on the amount of the deal, obviously, but we’re more than sure the platform compensated them more than fairly, in light of Mo’Nique‘s claim of racial/gender bias.
