Brandy is setting the record straight that she is NOT pregnant – despite recent speculation. This isn’t the first time she’s had to shoot down claims she’s expecting, just last year the artist had to address the very same rumor.

Even her daughter Sy’rai Iman Smith took to social media to dispute the reports.

Now the songwriter is defending herself again and oopened up to True Exclusive to explain the reason behind her new figure as a “foodcation.”
“It’s funny how people are telling ME that I’m pregnant,” she said. “I’d been eating clean for like 7-something odd years, in the gym, everyday, playing tennis. I’m like, ‘Yo, I’m tired of this crazy discipline. I need something to eat! I want some pizza, I want some pasta, I want some cake! I want something other than salmon, broccoli, and asparagus.’”

She also addressed lying about being married back in 2002, when she had her child out-of-wedlock. The artist feared losing her fan base at the time – but now she makes it clear that she has nothing to lose, and no reason to lie about pregnancy.
“You know what’s crazy? When I was 23, I fibbed about being married because I wanted to have my baby. I thought if I didn’t say I was married…I didn’t want to lose my fans. I didn’t want to disappoint anybody. Which is why I said I didn’t want to go down the aisle just to go down the aisle because I’m pregnant. I want(ed) to be ready to do that, so let’s just say that I’m married — which was the wrong thing to do. I was pregnant out-of-wedlock then, if I were out-of-wedlock now — why would I be ashamed of a baby?” she said in the interview at the 15:55 time stamp.

Additionally, in the interview, the singer addressed reports that she and her mother skipped her younger brother Ray J and Princess Love’s baby shower.

When it comes to the Have You Ever singer, however, she won’t be welcoming children any time soon! Just because a woman gains a little bit of weight doesn’t automatically mean she’s having a baby. Hopefully everyone will let her live her best life and continue eating whatever she wants!
