Soul Train Awards 2011 – Show

Apparently, two reality shows aren’t enough for members of The Braxton family. According to The Huffington Post, the Braxton sisters are pitching a daytime talk show. It has been described as The View with a lot of sass. God help us.

"Toni, Traci, Towanda and Trina are all in LA right now, pitching a talk show," one Los Angeles TV executive tells me. "Think ‘The View’ but with a lot of sass! There will be the Braxton sisters’ version of ‘Hot Topics,’ called ‘Spill the T,’ plus gossip, relationships, fashion, makeover segments and celebrity guests. They have even gotten their mom to do an ‘Ask Mommy’ advice segment. A fun, fun show."

The Braxtons would have a lot of competition. Several new talk shows are set to debut, with hosts including Queen Latifah, former "Real Housewives" cast member Bethenny Frankel, chefs Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis, and even Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner.

"Toni is totally into it, as is the rest of the family," one family friend tells me. "They have somehow managed to secure Rob Dauber, a veteran of ‘The Rosie Show,’ ‘Oprah’ and ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ to be executive producer and make them the next daytime hit. Plus, you know they are going to have one hell of a theme song!"

Meanwhile, Tiny wants Tamar Braxton for her VH1 late nite talk show. Yes, Tiny is getting a late nite talk show. No, I don’t get it even if I think she is sweet and can sing.

Anyway, here’s Tiny on that prospect with Juicy magazine:

“The first person I talked to about this was Tamar Braxton. She is one of my oldest friends. We’d been talking about doing a show called ‘Girl Talk.’”

“I want her for my cast. She’s one network and I’m on another network, so there are some bumps, but hopefully, we can work everything out.”
