While more than 80 women have accused studio movie executive Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, another Hollywood heavyweight is being accused of a very similar charge.
Over the weekend Kevin Spacey was the topic of conversation after actor Anthony Rapp came forward with accusations of sexual assault from the House of Cards star in 1986. Rapp was a minor.

Rapp told BuzzFeed, Spacey, he said, “sort of stood in the doorway, kind of swaying. My impression when he came in the room was that he was drunk … He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me. He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp said. “I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”
Spacey took to Twitter to apologize to Rapp (kind of) and used the allegation to come out as gay.
Cue Wanda Sykes. The comedian took to Twitter to blast the actor for barely acknowledging Rapp’s incident.
Less than 24 hours after Rapp’s accusation Netflix revealed they were ending their flagship series, House of Cards, after its sixth season.
Deadline reports, “MRC and Netflix have decided to suspend production on House of Cards season six, until further notice, to give us time to review the current situation and to address any concerns of our cast and crew.”
