VH1 says they are not firing the majority of the cast of Basketball Wives: LA.
In a statement on the VH1 blog, the network wrote:
The time has come to set the record straight. We can officially tell you all that despite the widespread reports, none of them are true. There have been absolutely no casting decisions made regarding the next season of the show.
Meanwhile, one the rumored fired cast members, Gloria Govan, isn’t buying it. TMZ caught up with Mrs. Matt Barnes and she said she thinks she’s on the chopping block, only the network is biding their time for obvious reasons.
The site reports:
Govan says she has yet to be officially released from the show … but says the writing is on the wall and knew it was only a matter of time when she didn’t let producers film her wedding over the summer.
Govan says she believes producers are waiting to give her walking papers until AFTER the reunion show … because they want her to show up. Govan says she hasn’t decided if she’ll go … but it sounds like she’s leaning towards no.
Her sister, Laura Govan, tweeted that she has never been fired in her life and she’s not about to start now. I’d go with the other Govan on this, though.
