The iconic album catapulted Houston to international fame with hits like Where Do Broken Hearts Go, Didn’t We Almost Have It All, So Emotional and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. In 1988, I Wanna Dance With Somebody gave Houston her second Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.
To date, Whitney has been certified 9 times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
