Since 1867 Howard University has maintained a tradition of academic excellence and superior education. Howard is a private, historically black comprehensive research institution. Through its 13 academic schools, Howard offers degrees in numerous fields of study. Popular majors include Biology, Journalism, Psychology, Radio, Television and Digital Communication.
