Founded in 1866, Fisk University is a private, historically black, liberal arts college. Through its two schools, Fisk offers Bachelor and Master degrees in several fields of study. Among the most popular majors are Biology, Psychology, Chemistry and Political Science. With more than 50 student groups and organizations, students have many ways to become involved outside the classroom. If you love to sing, all Fisk students can be a part of the University Choir. Established in 1879, the Fisk University Choir performs at least two major concerts each year. During the academic year, the choir travels to several cities to perform including Atlanta, Chicago, Orlando and West Palm Beach. Fisk University is dedicated to the excellence of its students.
