University of New Orleans was established in 1956. UNO is an urban research university located in the heart of New Orleans, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the United States. The university awards undergraduate and graduate degrees in various fields of study. Popular majors include Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts and Psychology, but the school has unique programs in tourism and naval architecture as well. Just minutes from the French Quarter, student life at UNO is rich.
